What do you need to let go of? Who do you need to forgive?

Forgiveness is complicated. Do you need to forgive yourself? Someone else? Does the other person know that they hurt you? If they hurt you intentionally, do they even care or want to make it right? Yes? No?

If you don’t have all the answers to these questions, then you can only control how you feel and respond to the pain that you feel.

To move on you need to make a CHOICE to let go and forgive the other person. I know how difficult this is, but it makes the pain hurt less. I am not a therapist, but I have had to let go of many hurtful things that have happened throughout my life. This does not mean that you forget what happened. It just means that you CHOOSE to respond differently today. It can be freeing. It is also healthier for you to let go.

Ask God for help in letting go of the pain that has happened in your life. Pray and meditate. Take time to BREATHE slowly.
