Do you have teens graduating from high school in the house? Are they getting ready to go to college, get a job, move out to live on their own to make adult choices?
It can be scary, but it can also help them become more responsible and better humans. Life is different for young adults now. Moving out was a rite of passage years ago. It is more expensive to move now.
The best thing we can do as adults is to teach our young people how to budget their money so that they do not get into debt. Life skills should be taught in school and at home, but sadly it is not taught in most cases. I’m guilty here too. I did not learn these skills from my parents, and I did not teach my sons until much later in life.
